Talent Show Rules & Eligibility guidelines:

1. The show is open to all ages.

2. An adult parent or guardian must accompany participants under 14.  

3. Talents may include singing, dancing, instrumental music, and skits. NO LIP-SYNCHING.  

5. Everyone must return a completed Talent Show Application Form.  

6. Group acts should submit ONE application for the entire group.

7. Group acts are limited to 12 or fewer participants. 

8. Performance length is limited to a 3 minutes maximum.

9. Absolutely no profanity, insensitive, or political subject matter will be permitted.

10. Participants are responsible for their own props and costumes.

11. If costumes are worn, they must be appropriate for ALL age groups as this is a community event.

12. All vocal lyrics or performance language will be screened for appropriateness by New Dawn Arts Volunteers. In all cases, the decisions of the judges are final and will not be open to discussion.

13. If your act requires recorded accompanying music, the performer is responsible for providing it. Music can be submitted on a USB drive by 9/21/25 or played from your own Bluetooth compatible device the day of the show (connected to our system). It is the participant’s responsibility to get their submitted music back after the show. 

14. Acts with any member under 18 years old must submit a waiver & consent form from the parent or guardian for each of the members. (This form can be downloaded or picked up from New Dawn Arts Center and submitted through this form, via email (info@newdawnarts.org), or dropped off at New Dawn Arts Center. They must be submitted no later then 9/21/25)
